Since 2019, we have offered boutique tours that bring a small group to natural wineries in Italy and elsewhere. In 2026 we are offering a retreat at Pācina in Southern Tuscany (now full) and a week-long tour of natural wineries in Sicily. WE HAVE BEGUN ANNOUNCING THE 2027 GROUP TRIP DATES.
We also offer custom “microtours” in Central Italy, Sicily, and elsewhere throughout the year, with the exception of August, with at least 6 weeks of advance notice. Get in touch via the webform below if you’d like to collaborate on a microtour.
WINE + WRITING: A retreat combining creative writing workshops with natural wine experiences + more | April 22-27, 2027
Our second creative writing retreat will take place during Earth Day and Italy’s Liberation Day, on the shores of beautiful Lake Bolsena, where author and publisher Rachel Signer lives and writes. A maximum of 8 writers will join for 5 days of writing workshops (90 minutes of formal workshop + informal workshop over lunch) combined with visits to natural winemakers in the area and local cultural sites. DOLCE FAR VINO: farming, winemaking, ceramics + Tuscan culture | May 11-17, 2027
Join the founder of Pipette Magazine for 6 nights at Pācina, an organic multi-purpose natural wine farm in Tuscany.
With the mesmerizing, historic Pācina winery and farm as our base, we will enjoy not only their excellent hospitality, wine, food, and company, but also excursions to other natural wineries in the area. There will be cultural programming and natural wine tasting on each day, our free time will be spent walking amongst the vines and olive groves. We will share several meals with the enchanting, warm extended family of Pācina natural wine farm in their incredibly beautiful corner of Italy.
WINE, FAMILY STYLE: a family-friendly natural wine retreat | May 26-June 1, 2027
Join the founder of Pipette Magazine for 6 nights at Malauva, an organic multi-purpose natural wine farm in western Umbria, not far from Lake Bolsena.
This is a family-friendly event with availability for 4 or 5 families. With the gorgeous Malauva winery and farm as our base, we will enjoy not only their excellent hospitality, wine, food, and company, but also excursions to other natural wineries in the area. There will be cultural programming and natural wine tasting on each day, however, this itinerary is specifically designed to suit families with very small children, including some flexibility.
All Pipette in Italia experiences include visits to natural winemakers where we understand their vineyards and winemaking process, and enjoy meals with their wines.
PIPETTE IN SICILY: 8-10 nights in Sicily, October 2027 (DATES TO BE ANNOUNCED IN NOVEMBER OF 2026)
In 2027, we will return to Sicily for a tour across the island, visiting natural winemakers and learning about Sicilian food culture, olive oil production, and the influence of Mount Etna. Although we are happy to receive expressions of interest for Sicily via the webform below, we will hold off on announcing the exact dates and trip length until late 2026. Thank you for your patience.
